We’re kicking off our Día de Muertos celebration with an online screening of 68 Voices, 68 Hearts, a series of animated short films that retell indigenous stories narrated in their native tongues. Created under the premise that no one can love that they do not know, 68 Voices strengthens bonds between indigenous and non-indigenous language speakers, fostering pride in the indigenous communities that make up Mexico’s cultural richness.
Celebrate Mexico Now is proud to present this family-friendly series for the third consecutive year as the project gets closer to finishing the 68 shorts that represent each of Mexico’s indigenous linguistic groups. Plus, we will have a Q&A with creator Gabriela Badillo after the screening!
Nov. 1, 11am (NYC time) | 10am (CDMX time) | FREE
On Nov. 1 & 2nd, you can Celebrate Mexico with us from home. Check out the rest of our 2020 program here.
