Follow through on your New Year’s resolution to look and feel better by joining the next session of the Weight Management Program at New York Hospital Queens. Participants will learn how to eat healthier, receive workout guidance from exercise experts and be supported by a team of professionals including a doctor, dietitians, nurses and exercise physiologists. Orientation is mandatory and will be held Monday, February 3, at 6 p.m., at the Cardiac Health Center (174-03 Horace Harding Expressway in Fresh Meadows). The program starts Monday, March 3. – The Navigating the Medical System Lecture Series for 2013-2014 continues. The next lecture will be held on Tuesday, February 11 at 7:30 p.m., at Congregation Etz Chaim (147-19 73rd Avenue in Kew Garden Hills). Emmanuel Moustakakis, M.D., director, Coronary Care unit, and Maria Miccio, exercise physiologist, NYHQ Cardiac Health Center, will discuss advances in endocrinology and diabetes care. The series was developed by Mel Breite, M.D., internist, NYHQ.
