
On Sunday, April 27, 2014, from 11 am to 6 pm, come celebrate spring at Queens Botanical Garden’s fourth annual Arbor Festival! Festivities will include workshops, garden tours, a bird walk, a petting zoo, pony rides, old-fashioned games, arts and crafts activities, live music, facepainting, food and craft vendors, consultations with tree and compost experts, a beer tent and more!
Arbor Festival schedule of events:
11am-6pm: vendor tabling on the Oak Allée
11am-12pm: Bird and Nature Walk Tour with QBG staffer Shari Romar
11am-12:30pm: Outdoor Composting Workshop
11am-4pm: Ongoing Compost Demonstrations (compost yard)
12-12:30 pm: Tai Chi Demonstration
12- 6 pm: Beer Tent
1:30-4pm: Live music! The “New York Exceptions”, a ‘50’s and ‘60’s era tribute band, will play two sets, at 1:30 and at 3:00 pm
2-3pm: Garden Tour with the Executive Director
2-3pm: Indoor Composting Workshop

Admission to this event is included in Garden Admission: $4 for adults, $3 for seniors and $2 for children 3-12 and students with ID. Free for QBG members. Event parking rate of $10 in effect; discount parking vouchers are not applicable on event days.
