- 2014 Cancer Survivor’s Day. A celebration for community members who are cancer survivors or are living with cancer, hosted by the NYHQ Cancer Center. Attendees will learn about nutrition, exercise, meditation, the Affordable Care Act and more.
WHEN/WHERE: Friday, June 6, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., in the Lang Auditorium at New York Hospital Queens (56-45 Main Street, Flushing, N.Y.).

- End of Life Issues will be discussed during the final lecture of our 2013-2014 Navigating the Medical System Lecture Series.
WHO: Simon Fink, M.D., attending surgeon and hospital ethicist, Rabbi David Keehn, director, Pastoral Care, and Yoel Lichstein, executive director, the Margaret Tietz Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. This lecture series was created by Mel Briete, M.D., internist, NYHQ.

- Bone and Muscle Repair, and Pain Management will be the focus of the next installment of our 2014 Healthy Chinese Community Lecture Series – free monthly lectures given in Mandarin about health topics of importance to the Chinese community
