Healthy Kids and Family Day, a fundraiser hosted by New York Hospital Queens (NYHQ), raised more than $65,000 to support the hospital’s Pediatric Asthma Center. The event was held on Sunday, Oct. 5 at New York Hall of Science and Rocket Park in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park.

The event featured soccer clinics for children, led by the players and coaches of the New York Cosmos. NYHQ is the official hospital for the New York Cosmos. The Cosmos guided the participating children through fun warm-up exercises, practice kicking the soccer ball into targets, an inflatable obstacle course, and soccer games. Additional activities included mini golf, balloon twisting, face painting, open play and exploration of the Hall of Science’s 450 exhibits, games, prizes, refreshments and more.
Community members who missed the event and want to make a donation to the Pediatric Asthma Center at NYHQ, should contact Alexis Terrizzi at 212-921-9070 x16 or send an email to nyhqfamilyday@thejfmgroup.com.
