Film Series: Making and Breaking Cities: Screenings and discussions with Mark Ethan, a member of the Actors Studio who has been presenting this series since 1998, and has appeared in multiple films. Suggested donation: $10
Queens Museum of Art, Flushing
How We Are Connected: Part of National Geographic’s Fall 2012 Genographic Project festival, this theatrical event will feature dancers, performing artists and a panel discussion. Suggested donation: $10.

Open Studio:Explore the galleries and create your own artwork. Drop-in program offered the first Sunday of every month. Cost: $5

Wildlife Weekends: Bird, bug & wildlife enthusiasts – something for you! This pay-one-price event will get you up-close with frogs, insects and birds. Enjoy a hayride, pony ride, goat feeding and animal shows. Cost: $9

Veterans Day Dedication Ceremony: A Color Guard march and the unveiling of a Veterans Day plaque to be placed among five new trees — representing the five branches of the U.S. Armed Services — in Queensborough Community College’s Remembrance Grove. Cost: FREE
