WHAT? The Scholarship Foundation of the NSA, Inc. will award more than $120,000 in scholarships to students from local neighborhoods in New York and other areas in the Northeast. Each student with a GPA of 3.5 and higher will receive a $2,000 scholarship; the remaining students will receive a scholarship of $1,000.
HOW? Applications are distributed by NSA members, who are supermarket owners, within the communities served by theirrespective stores. The students receiving the scholarships, mostly minorities, are chosen by the NSA Scholarship Selection Committee based on academic achievement, educational potential and financial need.

Founded in 1993, the Scholarship Foundation of the NSA is a 501.C3 non-for-profit organization. Its mission is to provide financial support to qualifying students from neighborhoods served by its member supermarkets, thereby increasing the number of college graduates from those areas.
