El festival abre con un documental sobre Gabo, el escritor colombiano Gabriel García Márquez quien murió el año pasado, y cierra con otro documental, Porro hecho en Colombia, un tipo de música de la costa caribeña colombiana. Carvajal dijo que los festivales son el último y más importante eslabón de los cineasta.
