Conception Events’ “Emerging Artists Festival,” the first of its kind in Long Island City, is happening Friday, June 6th – Friday, June 13th. It turns out that LIC has the ‘highest concentration of art galleries, art institutions, and studio spaces of any neighborhood in New York City’ (per Conception Events’ Festival page), and now we’ll have our own yearly arts festival to celebrate!
Truly awesome, but here’s why we’re really psyched: The first night of the Festival, Friday June 6th at 8pm, Vespa Queens will be hosting a live painting of one of our Vespas by renowned street artist Optimo Primo! It’s a can’t-miss opportunity to watch the creation of incredible street art in real time. Dig some of Optimo’s recent work:
We’ll also be painting a few other items (all of which will be for sale), and displaying some killer pieces from some of the other Festival artists. Stay tuned for information, and definitely come out to our place on June 6th for a night of art and Vespas!
