Las clases comienzan el sábado 5 de febrero y duran doce fines de semana hasta el domingo 24 de abril, de 11AM a 3PM. Con clases de Música y Danza COLOMBIANA y LatinX Beats para niños de 7 a 14 años.

Horario de clases: Sabado 11AM a 3PM y Domingo 11 AM a 2PM

El programa de Primavera 2022 tiene NUEVAS clases de música y baile, y más:

• Percusión Andina – bambuco, pasillo y guabina
• Beats del Caribe – cumbia y bullerengue
• Danzas Tradicionales Colombianas de la Costa Norte – cumbia, tambora, chandé, mapalé)
• Danzas Andinas – bambuco, pasillo, joropo y shottis (baile infantil andino)
• Latinx Beat Loops, Let’s Make a Beat Tape: una serie de varias semanas que presenta a los participantes nuevas tecnologías, producción de sonido, muestreo de grabaciones y capas de sonido a través de demostraciones en vivo y colaboración.

Classes start Saturday, February 5th and run–for twelve weekends–until Sunday, April 24th, from 11am to 3pm. With classes of COLOMBIAN Music and Dance and LatinX Beats for children between ages 7 to 14.

Schedule of Classes: Saturday – 11am to 3pm and Sunday – 11am to 2pm

The Spring 2022 program has NEW music and dance classes, and more:

Percusion Andina – bambuco, pasillo and guabina
Beats del Caribe – cumbia and bullerengue
Traditional Colombian Dances from the Northern Coast – cumbia, tambora, chandé, mapalé)
Danzas Andinas – bambuco, pasillo, joropo and shottis (Andean children’s dance)
Latinx Beat Loops, Let’s Make a Beat Tape – a multi-week series that introduces participants to new technologies, sound-producing, record sampling, and sound layering through live demonstration and collaboration.

There are three ways of registering: In person, Online registration, or PDF registration. Please read the following list.

In-person registration will take place at Community United Methodist Church on Saturday, February 5th at 10AM; or
Register online by clicking the online link and completing the form. Note: Complete a form for each child; or
Register by completing the registration form (PDF), then email it to folkcolescuela@gmail.com.

Students will have an opportunity to perform and present their completed music, dance, and beats project!
