Recently, Assembly Member Ari Espinal, Borough President Melinda Katz , Queens EDC and Friends of Corona Plaza came together to host a back to school family day and resource fair in Corona Plaza.
Despite the rain, the community came out and enjoyed a variety of family activities that included a Zumba workout demo by Mambo Fitness, a plaza merchant showcase that featured free vision screenings and discounted frames by Corona Vision, free dental screenings by Hello Dental and delicious fresh fruit sampling & couponing specials by Sea Town Fish & Farmers Market. In addition, Pollo Campero was out promoting their 6 for $6 lunch special and Public Health Solutions was on hand offering families info and counsel on the many services they provide in the community.

Families in attendance also enjoyed the all-day entertainment hosted by Riviera Maya which featured a variety of traditional Mexican folkloric dance and music that culminated with a delightful magic show that brought joy to all.
Special thanks to all of the participating merchants and supporters that helped to make this event possible.
