TF Cornerstone and Culture Lab LIC launched an open call for outdoor sculptures for the new public space along the Long Island City waterfront, situated between 5203 and 5241 Center Blvd., a mixed-income residential development that TFC launched late last year. The outdoor garden is in the home stretch of construction and is expected to be completed by the end of this month.

As part of TFC’s prolonged investment in the LIC waterfront, artists local to the LIC area will be prioritized. Artists may submit proposals for new or existing works of art, and for one or multiple sculptures. Depending on the size of the work, the artist will receive up to $3,000 for the exhibition (a period of time to be determined), and the sculpture will be returned at the end of the contract. TFC will cover the costs of transportation, installation and removal of the work.

Artists may submit proposals here until April 3 at 11:50pm.
