Celebrate Mexico Now Festival

Mexican artist Ely Guerra is a true example of a talented singer-songwriter. She introduced her new album Hombre Invisible and other tracks at the Le Poisson Rouge, as part of the 2010 Celebrate Mexico Now Festival. She’s worked with Cafe Tacuba, Enrique Bunbury, and many more Latin music heavy weights. Mixing her talent with lyrics and guitar, she is able to create songs that relate to her entire audience.

“I have my own label company now and I feel free. I work hard, from 5 in the morning to 11 at night because I must satisfy all my fans, young and old”, Ely Guerra said at the restaurant Hecho en Dumbo in downtown Manhattan before his concert. “I feel independent and I’m releasing my music only digital, hoping that people will buy it instead of just downloading it from the Internet.”

The CD Hombre Invisible took her four years to make and she is now working in her new production. “This is probably the best moment of my life. I am doing real music and when you do something real, with all your heart, no body can stop you.”
