Una de las fotos de Andrey Gottlieb.

Beginning February 7th and running through May 19th, the photography of Audrey Gottlieb will be on exhibit in the Visitor & Administration Building Gallery of the Queens Botanical Garden.

Vignettes from the Queens Project depicts the rich diversity of people and culture in the Queens community. “I am drawn to an endless variety of people,” says Gottlieb, “faces full of expression, happy, unhappy, engaged, at play, at work, at war.”

A documentary photographer and educator, Gottlieb studied at the School of Visual Arts and ICP in New York City and currently teaches and lectures on a freelance basis. Her best-known images show multicultural America today and have been exhibited at the Smithsonian, the Jewish Museum and Ellis Island Immigration Museum.

Gottlieb will discuss Vignettes from the Queens Project at an artist talk on May 19, 2012, in the Visitor & Administration Building Gallery. For more information call (718) 886-3800, ext. 330 or email dhector@queensbotanical.org
