Saturday, May 31st, 6 PM to 8 PM at LIC Landing by Coffeed along the beautiful waterfront of Hunters Point South Park, Center Boulevard near Borden Avenue and the East River, Long Island City, NY. The sparkling skyline of Manhattan will be the perfect backdrop for this special evening.
A Cause for Celebration
In 1998, a group of concerned neighbors in the beautiful and growing Hunters Point community started the Friends of Gantry Neighborhood Parks. Our goal was to ensure that our community’s parks, trees, and natural areas were well cared for. Since those early years, we have grown tremendously, in similar fashion as the rest of Long Island City. So today, we ask you to join us in the first full Spring at Hunters Point South Park, as we celebrate 16 years since the waterfront’s opening, and announce the next step in the Friends of Gantry: the Hunters Point Parks Conservancy.
Gift Bags and Raffle
The first 50 people to arrive that evening will receive a delightful bag of goodies. There will also be an amazing raffle with first prize being two round trip tickets on JetBlue
